Find a service's plans and prices without leaving Blips
Type a service's name and Blips reads its pricing page for you, then offers each plan as a chip. One tap fills in the price, currency, and billing cycle.
Mark a subscription as shared and your totals count only your part. The full bill is still a tap away whenever you need it.
A family plan, a streaming account split with a flatmate, a storage plan the whole household uses. Plenty of subscriptions are shared, and for those, the price on the bill is not what you actually pay.
Count the whole bill and your totals come out too high. Leave the subscription out and they come out too low, and you lose sight of a renewal that still matters to you.
Open a subscription in Blips and mark it as shared. For each person you share it with, you can add a name, an optional photo, and how much they owe. If they are already in your contacts, pick them from there and their name and photo are filled in for you.
You can also note who manages the subscription, so it is clear whose card the charge actually lands on.
Once a subscription is shared, your totals count only your part of it. Say a family plan costs $17.99 a month and the two other people on it owe you $6.00 each. Your totals count your $5.99, not the full $17.99, and the full price is a tap away whenever you need it.
People join, leave, or start paying a different amount. What you owe on a shared subscription keeps its own history, updated every time it changes, so you can look back and see what your share was and when it moved.
Separately from splitting a bill, every subscription can be tagged with a space. Blips comes with personal, shared, and work, and you can make spaces of your own, say one for a side project. Filter or group by space to see only what the household pays for, or only what goes through work.
Sharing in Blips is a note for you, not an invitation. The people you add do not need the app, and nothing is sent to them. Their names, photos, and amounts stay with the rest of your data: on your device, and in your own private iCloud if you turn on sync.
