Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Blips ("Blips," "we," "us") handles information when you use the Blips app (the "App") on your Apple devices. Blips is designed and built with both your privacy and convenience in mind by Andrija Urošević, an independent developer. Thank you for trying it, and for taking the time to read this.

Summary

Blips is built so your data stays yours. Any information you enter into the app is stored only on your device by default. If you turn on iCloud sync, it's also stored in your own private iCloud account, which we can't see or access. We don't operate any servers, we don't use analytics, we don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Information We Store

All the information listed below stays only on your device by default, and additionally in your own private iCloud account if you turn on iCloud sync. None of it is collected by us, sent to a server, or seen by anyone but you.

Information you provide directly

Information collected automatically

Blips doesn't use analytics, advertising identifiers, or any third-party tracking SDK, and we don't collect device identifiers or behavioral data about you. That's also why you'll never see an "Allow Tracking" permission request in Blips.

Information from Apple services

Exporting and Importing Data

Blips lets you export your subscription data to a file, and import it back in. When you export, Apple's system share sheet opens so you choose where the file goes, such as Files, Mail, or AirDrop. When you import, you choose the file yourself using the system file picker. Either way, the file moves directly between your device and wherever you choose - it never passes through us.

Local Notifications

If you turn on local notifications, such as renewal reminders or free trial expiry alerts, Blips schedules them on your device using Apple's notification framework. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device and are never transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services We Use

Blips connects to a few outside services for specific purposes:

Beyond these lookups, we don't share your data with any third party for their own purposes. We also don't use any third-party AI services, advertising networks, or analytics SDKs.

This policy doesn't cover information Apple collects on its own behalf through iCloud, the App Store, or StoreKit. See Apple's privacy policy for that.

Data Storage and Retention

Your data lives on your device and, optionally, in your own private iCloud account. Deleting an individual entry within the app removes it from your device and, if iCloud sync is on, from iCloud as well. Turning off iCloud sync only stops future syncing - it doesn't delete what's already stored in iCloud. Deleting the app removes data from your device only; if you had iCloud sync on, your subscriptions remain in your private iCloud account until you delete them, either by reinstalling the app and removing them from there, or by clearing Blips' iCloud data directly in Settings, under your Apple ID's iCloud storage. Because we don't operate a server that stores your data, there's no separate "delete my account" request to make with us. You're in control, directly on-device and in your iCloud settings.

Permissions

You can revoke Blips' access to Contacts or Notifications at any time in your device's Settings app, under Privacy & Security or Notifications. Revoking Contacts access only affects future selections - it doesn't remove people you've already added as shared members, which you can delete individually within the app.

Children's Privacy

Blips is not directed at children under 13. We don't ask for or collect anyone's age, so we have no way of knowing whether any user is a child.

Your Rights

Blips doesn't hold your data anywhere but your own device or your own private iCloud account. That means you're already in control of it. You can access, correct, or delete it at any time by editing or deleting data in the app, or by managing your iCloud storage in Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or the CCPA - for those, contact us at the email below.

Trademarks and Logos

Brand names, logos, and trademarks shown in Blips, including those sourced from TheSVG's icon registry, are the property of their respective owners. Their use is for identification purposes only and does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the trademark owner.

You can also replace a subscription's image with one of your own from your Photos library or the Files app. Blips doesn't review, moderate, or verify these user-added images. You're solely responsible for having the right to use them. Any trademark or copyright issue arising from an image you've added is your responsibility, not Blips'.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll update the effective date above whenever we do, so it's worth checking back occasionally. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
